| bio. After graduating from Boston University with a degree in finance, Obie Sims decided to leave the amazingly fun world of spreadsheets and n umber crunching to try his hand at something more stable - like becoming a movie star. With just enough belongings to fill his 1992 Isuzu Amigo, Obie, a Maryland native, headed west to pursue his dream of becoming a working actor. Despite many barriers and heartaches, he steadily pushed on.
Under the intense instruction of Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum at Playhouse West Repertory Theatre, he went on to not only land national commercials for such companies as “Dodge”, “Nokia”, “AT&T”, and “Jack in the Box”, he has also booked roles on such hit shows as "The Wire", “Boston Legal”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “House M.D.”, "Charmed", and “Las Vegas”. He plans on continuing to live and breathe his passion for the arts, which brings us to a one man show he created to uplift, motivate and inspire us to keep pushing on. | |
